On Estonia’s largest island – Saaremaa, we offer this beautiful old farmhouse in traditional style – completely but caringly renovated in 2006. The original charm of the house is skillfully preserved and gives a pleasant feeling of staying in a farm museum. The rural origins are completely and adding to the charm are the historical artifacts used for decoration. Old and new in pleasant union is what you find, since modern comforts have been skillfully integrated – all you need to stay here in modern comfort is present.
The large farmstead is surrounded by forest but it takes just a 200-meters walk through the forest and over the juniper fields to reach the sea. The seafront here on eastern Saaremaa is known as full of stones and lots of reeds grow here, but 300 meters from the house is a beautiful spot where locals swim. But the seafloor has lots of stones or pebble. For a better beach you go by car or bicycle some 2,5 kilometers. Still, this house is ideal for families wishing to enjoy peace and quiet on their vacation.
On a walk in the forest you should be surprised to meet deer, or even moose. The farmstead gets lots of sun and you can enjoy all your meals outside, maybe barbeque for dinner? The nearest foodstore is in Tornimäe village some 5 kilometers from the house. To find a larger store you should drive 20 kilometers to Orissaare, where you also find a few nice restaurant/bars and a short drive outside Orisaare you shouldn’t miss the famous Maasi stronghold, beautifully located on a hill overlooking the sea.
Two bicycles can be rented on location.
