86 km southwest of Kuusamo, Lake Jokijärvi 10 m (length of lake 7 km), river Iijoki flows through the lake. Shallow water, hard bottom, mud in some places, shore is in natural condition and is in shared use between the village cottages, boat and life jackets available. Log cabin, built in 1988, livingroom with bunk for one, four mattresses on the loft (steep stairs to loft, max. height of 1.35 m), sauna with electric stove, bathroom, separate toilet, small covered porch.

Cottage is situated in holiday village, area of natural beauty. Also caravans in the area. Campfire site by shore. Hiking path. Cottage owner has private Lumbering and log floating museum, small entrance fee. Jokijärvi cultural sites e.g. famous author Kalle Päätalo's childhood home Kallioniemi 2 km, Kylmäluoma recreational area 20 km, gorge lake Julma Ölkky 40 km, Taivalkoski, e.g. old traditional Jalava store 24 km. Hunting: Etelä-Taivalkoski 5622 (www.eraluvat.fi). Fishing: Lakes Jokijärvi, Tyräjärvi and Koiviojärvi: Province of Oulu lure fishing (www.mmm.fi), Kylmäluoma recreational fishing area 4525 (www.eraluvat.fi). Cottage is available from spring to autumn.

  Perusmökki jossa naapurit melko lähellä, vanhahtava mutta toimiva. Sauna, wc ja keittiö toimii ok. Ei kunnon uimapaikkaa. Parvelle tosi jyrkät portaat. Takkapuiksi tarjottiin ensin puolihomeisia pintalankkuja. Sijainti on pussiperällä mutta viimeistä 3km lukuunottamatta hyvää tietä.

  Mukava mökki upealla sijainnilla! Lapset ja aikuiset viihtyivät ja alue oli rauhallinen. Plussaa pihalla pyörivästä joulupukin porosta ja mykistävistä auringonlaskuista.
