43 km southeast of Pello and 60 km northwest of Rovaniemi. Lake Jolmalompolo 20 m, quickly deepening shore with sand bottom, rowing boat, and pier. From Lake Jolmalompolo, there is water access to the larger Lake Raanujärvi, approx. 600 m away.
The planed-log cabin was completed in 2025. It features a living room/kitchen, 2 bedrooms (one with a double bed, the other with two single beds), and a washroom/WC.
There is no sauna in the cabin. A lakeside sauna will be completed in summer 2026.
Dogs are allowed for an additional pet fee. Cats are not permitted.
Both lakes, Jolmalompolo and Raanujärvi, are excellent for fishing, with zander, perch, and pike among the species found in the lakes. A boat launching ramp into Lake Raanujärvi is located 1.8 km away. Larger lakes in Ylitornio and Pello, such as Lake Iso-Vietonen and Lake Miekojärvi, are also within good reach. The salmon spots of the Tornionjoki River are 50 km away.
State-owned small game hunting areas are easily accessible for hunters — area 2609 (www.eraluvat.fi).
The village has two reindeer farms offering activities: Vuolo Reindeer Farm and Napapiirin Järvilomat.
Distances: Ski Resort Ritavalkea in Pello 40 km, Ounasvaara Ski Resort in Rovaniemi 60 km. The Arctic Circle, Santa Claus Village, and SantaPark 70 km.
Frisbee golf course 10 km (Airijärvi). Palojärvi Holiday Resort 17 km (summer dance events and other activities).
A cross-country ski trail begins 3 km from the cabin.
