Rowing boat 25 €Cozy Pikkupöllö is located in Karesuvanto, close to Sweden (about 1 km and Norway about 120 km), in the village's waterfront area in Enontekiö and is a good base due to its great location. The Muonionjoki River is about 80 m away and there is a natural riverbank (no pier), the water level varies, the river width is 250 m, on the opposite bank is Sweden. The Muonionjoki joins the Tornionjoki and is a salmon river.
Planed log cabin, paneled inside, built in 2017. The living room and kitchen have 2 beds (placed side by side under the TV), electric sauna, toilet and shower cubicle, covered porch. The cabin has a kitchenette with two hotplates and a refrigerator, but no oven. Metal fireplace. Blackout blinds on the windows.
In front of the cabin there is a small terrace with a table and chairs. A bonfire place, a ball grill and a metal fire bowl.
A rowing boat is available for rent for an additional fee of 25 e / booking.
The cottage is close to the services of Karesuvanto and Karesuando in Sweden. In Karesuvanto there is a small shop, a restaurant and fuel sales, as well as a souvenir shop. There is an electric car charging point at Neste Karesuvanto (distance approx. 950 m).
The border crossing to Sweden is 950 meters away, the shops, restaurant and other services in Karesuvanto in Sweden are within a radius of about 2-3 kilometers. The cottage is about 62 km from the Hetta-Pallas hiking trail (Hetta), about 150 km from Levi and about 110 km from Kilpisjärvi.
An experienced hiker can conquer the untouched snowfields of the fell and coniferous forest by snowshoeing or skiing. Snowshoeing is possible well into May. In winter, skiing opportunities are available on the river, as well as on the ski slope in Sakkaravaara in Karesuvanto and on wilderness trails. Two pairs of snowshoes are available. Snowmobiles are rented at Neste in Karesuvanto.
During the dark hours, even if the sun does not rise above the horizon, the sky is covered in a variety of colors, including the northern lights.
Fishing permit areas: 2502 Tornionjoki-Muonionjoki-Könkämäeno (www.eraluvat.fi) and 1550 Lätäseno 12 km (www.eraluvat.fi).
Small game hunting areas (only grouse from gallinaceous birds): 1614 Hetta-Karesuvanto, 1615 Näkkälä and 1613 Käsivarsi (www.eraluvat.fi).
There are nice fishing spots for the whole family here, and the wilderness rivers. The catch includes grayling, trout and rudd. It is worth coming to catch salmon in July and August. The best fly fishing season is from Midsummer to the end of August. A good way to get a taste of wilderness fishing is to take part in a guided trip. Ask the owner about salmon rowing and other fishing-related services. Ice fishing is a popular hobby in winter. Sunny days in spring and winter are the best time for ice fishing.

The tap water comes from our own well and may occasionally have an iron smell/taste. The water has been tested and is suitable for domestic use, but if you wish, the customer can bring drinking water when they come.
The cottage yard is accessible by car all year round.
An electric line runs in front of the cottage.
