Located 430 km northwest of Rovaniemi, in the Salmivaara area of Kilpisjärvi, the lakeshore is approximately 500 m away, shared with others, with a road between the cabin and the shore. There is a marina and boat launch 500 m away, and a shared lean-to shelter in the area. A private rowing boat is available. A Honda 5 hp (four-stroke) outboard motor can be rented; guests provide their own fuel. Contact the owner for more details and rental.
The villa, built from lämpöhirsitalo, was completed in 2022. It features a large and bright combined kitchen/living room. One bedroom has a 2 m wide motorized double bed with views of Saana Fell, and the other bedroom has a 160 cm wide double bed. There is a separate WC with a shower and a utility room. Kitchen equipment includes an air fryer.
The sauna section includes a steam room, washroom, sauna lounge, and WC. The sauna lounge has a sofa bed and a 55" smart TV, and the washroom has two showers. Access to the sauna section is via the covered terrace. The covered terrace extends along two sides of the villa, totaling about 80 m².
There is a carport for two cars and an outdoor storage room. An electric car charging point is available for an additional fee (based on consumption, to be arranged with the owner).
A grill shelter with a skylight is available.
Note: Final cleaning is included in the price for new bookings made after September 13, 2024.
The property has solar panels for small-scale electricity production.
From April 27, 2025, two fatbike mountain bikes will be available, provided they are in good condition after previous use.
The destination is suitable even for the most demanding holidays, it is also a brilliant base for active enthusiasts, families and people who like wilderness.
Large fells and the Käsivarsi wilderness area create excellent opportunities for a wide range of nature activities.
Kilpisjärvi ski trail network and snowmobile route nearby. 2 km to Nordkalottruta (Arctic Trail), 750 m to the ski trail. There are many good trails for day trips in the area. Kilpisjärvi nature center and Saanatunturi trail 2 km, Malla nature park 8 km, boundary mark of three counties (Finland, Sweden and Norway) 16 km. 16 km to Norway.
Enontekiö ice fishing week and "Only two fish ice fishing competition" in early May.
Small game hunting area: 1613 Käsivarsi, fishing area: 1551 Enontekiö wilderness (www.eraluvat.fi).
Light and heat-insulated ice fishing booth (can be towed by ATV or snowmobile) for rent from the owner. Booth has paraffin-operated heating. Also, covered sleigh for snowmobile (space for two) available for rent. More information from the owner.
Kick sled, snowshoes for 2 and a sled available. Also two bicycles, one is a men's model.
