310 km north-west from Rovaniemi, 71 km north from Muonio. Beautiful ridge landscape and old-growth forest. Lauttakämpänlantto-pond is situated 700 m away and it is suitable for angling (perch, pike, etc.). Distance to Muonionjoki river 5 km. Ecological log cabin, built in 2007. Kitchen-living room, alcove with bunk bed, loft (20 m², steep stairs) with double bed and 2 single beds, sauna with wood-burning stove and water heater tank, dressing room and covered porch. Lean-to with campfire site in front of it. Cottage has solar panel electricity (for lighting and small TV 10"). Probably the power of the solar panel is not enough to watch TV even in summer. Aggregate is for operation of the water pump. A wild spirit hot tube for rent in June - September.

Cottage is located in the middle of the mossy trees in the upper hill scenery. Very quiet location. Neighboring houses can not be seen. Cottage and its surroundings is ideal for those who enjoy the peace of nature, also for fishermen and hunters. Excellent possibilities for berry picking. Suitable also for dog sledge enthusiasts because of peaceful location and good terrains. 2 bikes available. Rowing boat is available by shore of Muonionjoki river (in Karesuvanto 17 km away). Ask for fishing- and guidance services from owner. Possibility to rent a kayak, inquiries from the owner well in advance. Fishing: 2502 Tornio-Muonio River-Könkämäeno (www.eraluvat.fi). Small game hunting areas (grouse): 1614 Hetta-Karesuvanto, 1615 Näkkälä, 1613 Käsivarsi (www.eraluvat.fi). Hannu's reindeer farm in Kuttanen 4 km (tourist services, boat trips to Kuttainen), Kultima old Lappish village 13 km, nearest shop in village Kuttainen (other side of the river, on the Swedish side, in summer crossing by boat, in winter via ice road) 5 km. Karesuvanto village services 17 km, Hetta 50 km. Border crossing by road to Sweden 18 km (Karesuando). Please notice that his cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). There is wood heating and also gas heating device. The cottage road requires moderate ground clearance from the car. Solar panel battery power may not be enough the whole holiday; then tv watching is not possible and lighting is by candles.
