The cottage has solar panel electricity for lighting. Also equipped with an aggregate that powers a water pump. The pump has a cold water line to the sauna.
Cool weather requires activity from the customer, because the cottage has wood heating. In addition to wood heating, a separate gas heating device is available.
The owner brings the keys and guides you in technical matters when handing over the cottage. The power of the battery charged by the cottage's solar panel may not be enough for the entire holiday; in that case, the lighting is atmospheric candlelight.
The cottage is in a dangerous landscape, at the end of a small road with a riser. The road requires moderate ground clearance from the car.
There are nice fishing spots and wilderness rivers for the whole family. Serious anglers will try their luck in the Käsivarri wilderness. The catch includes grayling, trout and roach. It is worth coming to catch salmon in July and August. The best fly fishing season is from Midsummer to the end of August. Ice fishing is a popular hobby in winter. The sunny days of spring and winter are the best time for ice fishing. A good way to get a taste of wilderness fishing is to take part in a guided trip. Ask the owner for more information.

Enontekiö certainly has no shortage of hiking destinations and outdoor trails, and the best time to hike is from the end of June to September. From the cottage yard, you can set off into the uncharted wilderness of Tarvantovaara towards challenges and unforgettable experiences. Here, you rely on your own orienteering and wilderness skills, as there are no marked trails.
The Hetta-Pallas hiking trail (Hetta) is about 50 km from the cottage, about 140 km to Levi and about 140 km to Kilpisjärvi. The outdoor trails in the large fell area in Kilpisjärvi are also easily accessible from the cottage.
A hiker with orienteering skills can conquer the untouched snowfields of the fell and coniferous forest by snowshoeing or skiing. Snowshoeing is possible well into May. Remember to book a map and compass, as the trail markers may be covered by snow. The cottage has two snowshoes.
You can ski in Hetta from early winter, and in spring the trail network will be expanded both northwards and across the lake to the Ounastunturi. A favorite destination for sunny spring days is the Aurinkokeino multi-purpose trail running on the ice of Ounasjärvi.
The trails in Kilpisjärvi, which run through stunning fell landscapes, are at their best in early winter. You can reach Malla Nature Park and the Three Kingdoms Border Pile by skiing on land or ice. Kilpisjärvi is also an excellent starting point for cross-country skiing – as long as the hiker has the right experience and is prepared for Arctic weather conditions.
