Rihun Riihi is a completely different and idyllic accommodation option in the peace of nature, with its own long coastline, in a beautiful landscape. The cottage is located 60 km northeast of Lahti, on the shore of Lake Lyömiäisjärvi. The shore is shallow and the lake has a gravel base. On the shore you will find your own pier with benches and a rowing boat. In addition, you will have access to fishing rods, fishing rods and fishing nets.

The old riihi, originally built in the early 1900s, was converted into a spacious and personal cottage in 1999. The riihi has been given 2020 comforts without forgetting the traditional riihi spirit. The construction technique is popular old building forms from moss cross to thatch and self-peeled surface boards. The goal has been to create a natural, peaceful summer place for people for whom nature and peace are important. Please note that the doorways are lower than usual and you have to bend down slightly when passing through the doorway.

The living room has a smart TV, a sofa, one of which can be used as an extra bed for one person (120 x 190 cm), a fireplace with storage space and a dining area. The cottage has a total of two fireplaces. The kitchenette has a single induction hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. A spacious bedroom with a double bed and a fireplace with storage space. Another bedroom with two beds. There is also a fold-out extra bed with a thick mattress. A bathroom with a shower and a high-quality combustion toilet. The cottage also has an air-to-air heat pump for additional heating and cooling.

The cottage's domestic water comes from its own well. Drinking water must be brought to the cottage yourself. There is a water intake point on the outer wall at the Heinola ABC station (distance 23 km).

There is a lakeside sauna on the shore, which has a traditional wood-fired heater and where the water comes from the lake with a submersible pump. There is a small dressing room in connection with the sauna. In front of both the cottage and the sauna there is a porch where it is nice to sit and enjoy nature.

There is garden furniture, a garden shower and a hot tub on the terrace. The hot tub is also nice to enjoy on cool evenings - the atmosphere is crowned by the lovely LED lights on the edges of the terrace! Next to the terrace there is also a campfire site where you can sit in the evening by the glow of the campfire, in addition to a hut shed with a fire pit, and a Weber gas grill for use.

There is a 5m pier on the shore from which you can swim directly. Otherwise, the beach is quite rocky and relatively shallow. The yard area is spacious and in front of the cottage there is a large, partially covered terrace for enjoying the outdoors and from which there are good views of the lake. The environment is peaceful, the nearest neighbor is about 300 m away behind the forest. In the large grassy yard you can spend a summer day, for example, throwing frisbee golf, playing yard chess, mölkky, throwing darts or darts and pihayatsya.

Pets are also welcome at Rihun Riihi! There is even a scratching post for your cat.

Rihun Riihi is an old authentic riihi that has been moved to its current location a kilometer away. The idyllic Riihi is beautiful and lovely, but you can certainly find creaking floors and doors, and unusual building solutions.
