Accommodation information
A complex of three log cabins in the midst of nature’s tranquility on the shore of Lake Koitere. 98 km northeast of Joensuu, Lake Koitere (164 km²) 80 m, but there is a canal dug near the cabin with a shore that is 28 meters away. The shore is a deep sandy and rocky beach with a ladder at the end of the pier, making swimming easy. Private beach and own boat.. The main cabin (12 m²) was built in 2019. The living room/kitchen has a pull-out sofa that converts into a 110 cm wide bed for 1 person. The main cabin features a gas stove, refrigerator, wood stove, and a drain but no running water. Tenants need to bring their own drinking water. There is a water post at the corner of the neighboring cabin from which water can also be fetched. The water comes from a well that has not been tested, but the owner uses it. The neighboring cabin belongs to the same owner and is not rented out. The sauna cabin (30 m²) was built in 1976. The wood-heated sauna uses water carried from the canal. The fireplace room has an electric stove and a sleeping alcove with a double bed. The sauna cabin’s fireplace room may have a nostalgic "grandma's house" smell. It is possible to stay at the property without using the fireplace room of the sauna cabin. The porch of the sauna cabin has a table set. The shed cabin (9 m²) was built in 2018 and has a double bed. Koitereen Piilopirtti is located at the end of the road, and the neighboring cabin is mostly empty. State-owned hunting grounds are about 10 km away. There is no linen rental available at this property.
