Illestijärvi is an electrified cabin located in the area with good opportunities for independent hiking and fishing. The Inari hiking area (hiking routes and services) reaches nearby.
Fishing: Highly considered fly fishing area of the river Juutuanjoki nearby. River Matkajoki, which is a part of the fly fishing area, is about 400 m away. Access to the river Matkajoki along the river Illestijoki. From Ilestijoki, there is access to the lakes Solojärvi and Paatari.
