Accommodation information

300 km to the north from Rovaniemi, 13 km to the north from Ivalo, river Ivalojoki delta/lake Inarijärvi 27 m, deep beach, mud bottom, own rowing boat, pier. Round log cabin, built in 1985. Living room with sofa bed and spreadable wooden sofa (width when spread 120 cm), kitchen (no door), sauna and covered porch. Shallow loft with two mattresses. The loft is suitable for children and, for example, luggage storing. Cooking hut and smoker. Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that (unless cleaning is not booked in advance). Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the owner immediately on arrival by calling. This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. At this cabin you will chop firewood by yourself (there are round logs in the wood shed for that).

Car parking 30 m, during winter 150 m. Light fireplace in the living room, wood stove in the kitchen. Lighting by using rechargeable lamps. The water in the well has not been investigated that is why it is best to bring own drink water. Sointula is located in the fishy river Ivalojoki delta area and is therefore a good base for fishing customers. Also, larger water areas of lake Inarijärvi are easily accessible. Please, bring your own bed linen and towels (for this cabin they can not be rented). Fishing: Trolling allowed in lake Inarijärvi with special angling permit granted by Finnish Forest Administration (Metsähallitus); destination 1580 Inarijärvi (www.eraluvat.fi) or with fisheries management fee (when using only one rod). In addition, the Village Association of Koppelo sell fishing permits to its own water areas. Koppelo boat ramp 3,5 km. Hunting: Small game hunting area: 1612 Tsarmitunturi (www.eraluvat.fi). Services of Ivalo 13 km. Saariselkä 45 km.
