Ulkuniemi wilderness cabin in Inari is the perfect place for nature and wilderness enthusiasts. This carefully crafted log cabin is situated in a beautiful spot at the tip of a peninsula, offering stunning views of the surrounding Lake Inari. The cabin is located in an exceptionally peaceful location, with the nearest neighbors being 1.5 km away, allowing you to enjoy complete privacy and tranquility. Although Ulkuniemi is not on an island, it is within a boat, snowmobile, or skiing distance. The boat trip is approx. 3 km. Guests have access to a regular rowing boat. The snowmobile trail passes about 100 m away from the cabin. The hiking distance from the nearest road is about 12 km. The cabin is constructed from sturdy logs, giving it a traditional and cozy atmosphere. The log structure also provides excellent insulation, keeping the interior warm and comfortable regardless of the season. There is a lean-to and a campfire site by the shore, where you can spend relaxing evenings by the fire, barbecue delicacies, or simply enjoy the lake views. The sunken ice cellar, made from a freezer chest, is a convenient place to keep food cool and fresh during extended stays. At the back of the yard, there is a composting outdoor toilet, which is a traditional and environmentally friendly solution.

WILDERNESS CABIN: The cabin is not preheated before the booking begins. The customer is responsible for cleaning during the stay and upon departure. Due to the long distances, maintenance does not check the cabin after each customer. If the cabin is not clean upon your arrival or there are deficiencies, please contact the owner immediately by phone. Customers need to bring their own bed linen and towels (they are not available for rent). Available for rent from the owner: snowmobile (+sledge), in summer motorboat 4hp, canoe and SUP board. Ulkuniemi is an excellent base for visitors and anglers exploring Lake Inari. The Sarmivuono boat launching site is approx. 3 km away. The cabin's private pier allows the use of larger trolling boats. Fishing: Trolling is allowed in Lake Inari with a fishing permit from Metsähallitus; destination 1580 Inarijärvi (www.eraluvat.fi) or with a national fisheries management fee (when using only 1 fishing rod). Hunting: Small game hunting area: 1612 Tsarmitunturi (www.eraluvat.fi). Transfers by boat or snowmobile are available from the owner for an additional fee. Please note that the location is inaccessible due to road conditions from November 1st to December 15th and from May 1st to May 30th. The road to the marina and the car park is kept open in winter and there is a marked path to Ulkuniemi. It is possible to arrive at this location from 14.00 on the arrival day.
