Cabin with many amenities by the lake Sevettijärvi. The lake is rich in fish. The cabin is a good base for many kinds of outdoor activities as well as for excursions in the beautiful landscapes of Northeastern Lapland. 30 km distance to the Norwegian border. 435 km to the north from Rovaniemi, 115 km to the northeast from Inari, lake Sevettijärvi 100 m (lake length 16 km, width 3 km), the beach is shallow and sandy. The lake Sevettijärvi is very shallow and there are several sandbanks on the lake. The cabin has a rowing boat. Planed log-built cabin, built in 2009. Sofa bed in the living room and kitchen, double bed in the bedroom, 2 separate beds in the another bedroom, washroom with shower (no WC, access through the terrace), and covered terrace. Yard sauna with steam room and washing room. The sauna has wood-burning sauna stove, cauldron for heating the water outside, water for the sauna can be taken from the cabin. Cooking hut, playhouse and composting outdoor toilet. NOTE! Around 25.3. - 31.5. during winter weather and frost, the last road section does not have winter maintenance so we cannot guarantee driving to the destination by car. A parking place has been plowed for the car at the last intersection, from where it is a 550-meter walk to the cottage.

Note! You cannot order final cleaning or bed linen at this destination. Please bring your own bed linen and clean the cabin as well as you can (so well that you could accept the result if you would be the next customer). If the cabin has not been cleaned upon arrival or there are defects, contact the maintainer by calling. Water in the well is not tested annually, so we recommend boiling it before drinking. A wood-heated smoker, an electric smoker, and a gas grill are available at the cabin. The electric smoker and gas grill are stored in the woodshed. A rowing boat is available for guests at the shore. The village of Sevettijärvi is 3.5 km away. Sevettijärvi is the center of Skolt Sámi culture in the north. The village has an Orthodox church, a Skolt Sámi heritage house, and a handicraft exhibition (open in summer). There is also Sevetin Baari, which offers delicious food and refreshments. The bar also has a small grocery store and sometimes features live music on summer weekends. Näätämö is 29 km from the cabin. It has two well-equipped supermarkets and a fueling station, often offering the cheapest fuel in Finland. Näätämö also has a pub. The border is about one kilometer from Näätämö. Fishing: the famous salmon river Näätämöjoki is about 9 km away (no road). Fishing permits and road information, see destination 1565 Näätämöjoki (www.eraluvat.fi). Angling permit 1564 Inari Wilderness covers large areas of fishing waters also near the cabin (www.eraluvat.fi). In lake Sevettijärvi, you can fish with one rod and lure after paying the fishery management fee (not in large water areas, www.eraluvat.fi). In the summer, there is also an air taxi that can easily reach even distant fishing waters. Boat ramp locations in Sevettijärvi town at the bar 3.5 km and in Jäniskoski 7.5 km. Hunting: The cabin is located in Vätsäri small game hunting area of the state-owned lands (only willow grouse is allowed). See destination 1606 Vätsäri (www.eraluvat.fi). Destination 1605 Näätämö, less than a kilometer from the cabin (www.eraluvat.fi). These wide hunting areas ensure hunting possibilities for small game. Sevettijärvi town 3 km, Sevettijärvi is the center of the Koltta Sámi community in the north. Orthodox church, Koltta Sámi traditional house and craft exhibition (open in summer). Sevetti bar and small village shop 3.5 km. Näätämö 29 km, shop and fuel sales in Näätämö, border crossing point to Norway 30 km.

  Mökki oli asiallinen. Hieman keskeneräisen oloinen hygienian hoidon suhteen, mutta toiminnot sujui näinkin.

  Hyvä tukikohta kalastukseen yms, todella hyvä sauna ja mökki on siisti ja sieltä löytyy kaikki tarvittava. Myös grillikota on mukava lisä ruuan tekoon. Vesi oli todella matalalla mutta hieman vaivaa nähden vesillekkin pääsi.
