WILDERNESS CABIN: Wilderness cabins are best suited as a base for fishing, hiking, or hunting trips. The equipment and standard of wilderness cabins are often more modest compared to other holiday cottages. Guests are responsible for cleaning the cabin during and after their stay. The maintenance team does not check the cabin after every guest, so if the cabin is not clean upon arrival or if there are any deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately. Guests must bring their own bed linens and towels (not available for rent).

Nuolijärvi is well-suited as a base for nature and wilderness activities. The larger Friendship Park area includes the Iso-Palonen and Maariansärkät Nature Reserve, located 9 km away. The Elimyssalo Nature Reserve is 16 km away. The Kalliojoki route, suitable for water activities, is as close as 1 km away.

The electric stove is a separate oven with 2 cooking plates on top. The cottage road is not plowed in winter, so parking is 150 m away. There is an uninhabited neighboring cottage 30 m away.

Hunting: The state-owned small game hunting area Itä-Kuhmo 5618 is as close as 1.5 km away (www.eraluvat.fi).

Fishing: The 40 km long Kalliojoki water route includes about ten lakes and 27 rapids. The most common catch fish are grayling and trout. The route is as close as 1 km from the cabin (www.eraluvat.fi).

In Viiksimo, there are opportunities for nature observation and photographing large predators (Boreal Wildlife Centre, approximately 20 km away). The services of Kuhmo town center are 42 km away.
