Log cabin located by the lake Pikkujärvi in connecting point of Pitkäkoski rapids and lake Vuosankajärvi. Livingroom/kitchen with convertible bunk, bedroom (downstairs) with bunk bed (extendable lower bed), bedroom (downstairs) with bunk bed (extendable lower bed) and convertible bunk, bedroom (upstairs) with 2 convertible bunks, bedroom (upstairs) with 2 convertible bunks and a single bed. Fireplace in all bedrooms. Washing water from lake or well. Lakeshore sauna with electricity and fireplace. Cabin is meant for maximum 10 persons even if there are more beds than that. Fairly good shore. Good, sandy beach is located 2.5 km cabin, by lake Kuivajärvi. Rowing boat, jetty, site for open fire and smoke box (round-shaped kettle type). Doghouse in yard.

WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented). This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended. Distances: Kuhmo 47 km, Bus stop 4 km, Kajaani railway station 90 km. Snowmobile routes nearby. Cabin is located less than 5 km from the Vuosangan shooting range, so the shooting noise can interfere from time to time. Cabin can be reached by car. Reservation starts at 14.00.
