A spacious log cabin in your own peace at the confluence of Lake Vuosanganjärvi and Pitkäkoski, close to state hunting grounds and fishing spots. Pitkäkoski kämppä living area 94 m² on two floors. Downstairs, a spacious living room kitchen with dinning table for 8-10 people, a soft stone fireplace and a wood stove/fireplace. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and a bunk bed (the lower bed can be spread out), and a bedroom with a bunk bed (the lower bed can be spread out) and a remote workstation (table, chair and separate monitor). Steep stairs to the upper floor, a bedroom with a door with 2 pull-out beds and another bedroom with 2 single beds and one pull-out bed. Fireplace / light stove in each bedroom. There is no running water in the cabin, water from the well. Hand pump at the well, distance approx. 20 m from the cabin. A separate beach sauna with a steam room with a wood stove and a water boiler. Washing water from a lake or well (well higher up at the cottage, distance approx. 50 m). There is electric lighting in the sauna and a fireplace in the dressing room. Note The sauna does not have electric heating. The beach sauna is available all year round. During the thaw period (May-October), a wood-heated hot tub is available (included in the rental price of the cabin). Read the instructions carefully before use! Hot tub is not available in winter time, minus decrees weather. The beach near the pier is soft and shallow, rocky. Harder bottom with coarse sand, stones at the boat holding place. 2.5 km to Kuivajärvi's good sandy beach. There is two rowing boat. In the yard area, next to the parking lot, a storage building with an outdoor toilet and cistern. Good yard lighting. In the courtyard, there is also a place to make a fire with a fire pit, a ball grill (works with coal, coals must be brought along), a fish smoking box. Spacious parking lot for several cars. NOTE charging cars from external plugs (electric/hybrid cars, motorhomes and caravans) must always be agreed with the owner in advance (separate fee).

WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented). This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended. Distances: Kuhmo 47 km, Bus stop 4 km, Kajaani railway station 90 km. Snowmobile routes nearby. Cabin is located less than 5 km from the Vuosangan shooting range, so the shooting noise can interfere from time to time. Cabin can be reached by car. Reservation starts at 14.00.
