The cottage is located in a beautiful spot near pine forests, so you can enjoy a peaceful environment and beautiful views. Nearby Ruka is a skier's dream destination, Oulanka National Park offers stunning hiking opportunities, and in winter, nearby skiing trails are at your disposal.
The cottage is suitable for families and groups of friends, and can accommodate up to six people.
Located 10 km north of Kuusamo and 18 km from Ruka. Oivankijärvi lake is 50 meters away, with a sandy bottom and a rapidly deepening beach, and a rowing boat is available. Pier renovated 7/2026.
Harjula is a traditional log cabin built in 1986. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and 1 single bed, bedroom 2 has a double bed and 1 single bed. In addition, there is a combined living room and kitchen, two toilets, and an electric sauna.
Steep descent to the beach, wooden, safe stairs lead there, which are available for guests to use.
The beach has a sandy bottom (soft at deeper levels), quickly deepens and is not suitable for very small children.
Own boat (Suvi 402) and pier built 5/2023.
There is a barbecue hut on the beach that is shared with the neighboring cottage Mäntylä (not in winter use).
The Harjula beach sauna is NOT available to anyone (cannot be booked), but the pier and boat next to it and the table group on the shore are available for customers to use.
The kelo log cabin is located on the southern shore of Lake Oivankijärvi. Built in 1986 and tastefully renovated and furnished in 2022-23.
Additional amenities: Air source heat pump for extra heating and cooling. Children's travel cot available at an additional cost from the property caretaker (please indicate the need when making your reservation). Hairdryer.
Additional information: The property's sauna and kitchen were renovated in 2008. Located next to the Mäntylä A (9201) kelo semi-detached house unit.
The official ski trail is 4 km away. There may also be a trail maintained by cabin residents 200 meters away. Other distances: Oulanka National Park/Pieni Karhunkierros Trail 40 km, Riisitunturi National Park 50 km, Holiday Club Kuusamo Tropiikki Spa, Angry Birds Activity Park, and Kuusamo Golf 5 km.
Note: Pets are allowed at the property until week 9/2027 for an additional fee per pet. The property will become pet-free starting March 6, 2027.
Bookings start at 16:00 and end at 12:00 on the day of departure (including weekend bookings).
