Accommodation information
27 km from Kuusamo, Lake Vuosselinjärvi 200 m, own boat (no swimming beach). Apartment, which is one half of semi-detached log house, built 2002, renovated 2021. Kitchen, living room, downstairs 1 bedroom with 2 beds and 1 bedroom with bunk bed (lower bed 120 cm wide and upper bed 90 cm wide). Upstairs bedroom with 2 beds and hall with 2 beds. Washroom, dressing room and sauna. Internet connection (wireless, speed 8 MB). Barrel sauna (wood heated stove) is available. Cold water pipe comes from the cottage. Stove with water heater tank. In winter no tap water, no stairs maintenance. Owner rents out the wooden heated hot tub (on back terrace), price 160 e/2 days, extra days 40e/day. (Client heats the hot tube by himself, takes 3-6 hours. Price includes cleaning of the hot tub afterwards, however client removes water). There is also a separate carport in the yard, where there is a semi-warm ski maintenance room.

Views of Joutsen are one of the highlights of holiday locations at Ruka! Lake scenery below and Ruka's slopes can be admired from the large terrace at this location. You can use electric sauna (in the villa) or wood-heated barrel sauna in the yard, also possibility to use hot tube (for extra price). Barrel sauna warms up quickly, in summer time one filling of firewood is enough

The cottage was better than expected. Lovely place to spend the week and more than enough space for a family of five. The house was kept warm despite the cold outside, plenty of wood for the fire to enjoy and the kitchen had all the needed tools. The ski slopes were walking distance (without equipment) and only a two minute drive away. Would highly recommend.
