Accommodation information
Wilderness cabin is located by Kolmiloukkolampi pond, log cabin is built in 2009. Cabin has one room with two bunk beds, kitchenette and loft with 4 mattresses. Spacious sauna and dressing room in same building. Campfire place, woodshed and garbage shed in the yard. Boat and life jackets. Water from Hossa Visitor centre or from the pond (clear water, but boiling of the drinking water before usage is recommended). The cabin environment is a ideal for hiking and outdoor activities. There are whitefish, perch and pike in the Kolmiloukko pond. Cabin rent includes license for five fishing nets to Kolmiloukko pond. Client has to bring own nets, smallest allowed mesh size for fishing net is 40 mm.

Distances: Kuusamo 75 km. Kuusamo Large carnivore centre 42 km. Julma Ölkky -canyon lake (boat trips) 4 km. Hossa Visitor Centre 13 km: Cafe, bed linen for rent, guided tours. Boats, canoes, kayaks for rent, maps available. Hossan Lomakeskus and restaurant 18 km. Hossa: hiking, skiing and canoe routes. Fishing and hunting areas, distance 800m straight from the cabin or the road 13 km. Snowmobile track 400 m. 90 km of marked hiking tracks and 60 km of skiing tracks. Disabled people are taken into consideration. Yhteismetsä hunting area around the cabin is 15 000 ha and Hossa hunting area owned by Metsähallitus is in walking distance, too. Resident of the cabin can buy small game hunting license from web-site www.varuste.net or from the office of Kuusamon Yhteismetsä. Sights: Julma Ölkky, colored rock-painting, reindeer farming and Lounatkoski mill. Cabin can be reached by car during summer from the beginning of June. In winter: road is not maintained, distance on skis 6,3 km, 400m from the snowmobile route. This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option.
