Booking Fee 22 €A planed-log cabin (part of a group of 6 cabins) is located in the Peurajärvi recreational fishing area, on the scenic shores of Lake Peurajärvi and near Hiidenportti National Park. Silmu is situated on the lakeside, approximately 50 meters from the shore. The cabin has its own lakeshore. There is also a public shore on the lake where swimming is possible.
The cabin includes a combined kitchen/living room with 2 separate beds and a sleeping alcove with 2 bunk beds. There is no basic heating. The sauna is in the same building, and there is a well.
Two boats are available for use on Lake Peurajärvi and Lake Iso-Valkeinen, each equipped with life jackets. There is a shared campfire site and smoking equipment.
Please note that during the annual children's and youth fishing event "National Fishing Day," there is a fishing ban in the area, for example, from June 9 at 00:00 to June 11, 2022, at 15:00 (more information: eraluvat.fi/vapapaiva).
WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented).
This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended.

Cabin can be reached by car. Reservation starts at 14.00.
