18 km to the southwest from Pieksämäki, Lake Niskajärvi 20 m (length 6 km, width 1 km) shallow, hard, sandy, clay bottom, pier and rowing boat. Round log cabin 1971, living room/kitchen (17 m²) with spreadable bed for two, dressing room, sauna with wood heated sauna stove and terrace. In the sleeping shed (13 m²), there are three single beds. Woodshed and outdoor toilet. Masonry grill in the yard. Rowing distance from the parking area to the island is 250 m, drinking water can be taken from the well located near the parking area.

Piilopirtti is a calm rental cabin. There are no other cabins on the island (0,6 ha). Owner has two other cabins (13800 and 13828) on the neighboring islands for rent. Distance to these islands is about 100 m. Electric car charging for an additional fee at the owner's farm (approx. 100 m from the parking lot), the charging location has a mains plug and a Schuko plug, payment according to consumption to the owner. Owner's farm and fields nearby, there are peas and strawberries on sale. You can rent outboard motor and bike from the owner. There is plenty of fish in lake Niskajärvi, for example perch, pike, pike perch and bream. Also good terrains for picking berries and mushroom nearby. Note! Owner will charge a deposit equal to the cleaning fee in cash on arrival if client has not booked final cleaning as an extra service. Naarajärvi airport for small aircraft 15 km, canoeing route “Savon Amatson” 16 km, Recreational fishing area “Nykälän Koski” 18 km, Pieksämäki; doll’s house Tarinamäki 18 km, Visulahti and Kenkävero in Mikkeli 80 km, Helsinki 280 km. For extra persons owner will charge 50 e/person/booking.

  The Cottage and the Island are really beautiful and in clean and well cared condition. Juha and his family kindly supported my stay and gave great advice. Sauna is perfectly in heating and comfort, really, a peaceful place probably also for the coming years.
