Accommodation information
Wilderness cabin in Posio Kiekkikaira, by the pond Pyytölampi, near the fell Palotunturi. Cabin, built in 2011, has livingroom-kitchenette and two sleeping alcoves with 2 beds in each. Water from the pond (boiling the drinking water is recommended) or must be brougt with. Separate sauna building, own rowing boat, moderate swimming beach.

Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented). This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended. In the wilderness lakes in the area there’s whitefish, perch and pike. Area of fell Palotunturi is protected old forest (more infomation: http://matkailu.posio.fi/en/Places-to-visit/Nature-destinations/Palotunturi-Nature-Path). Good spots for Cloudberry picking near the cabin. Pyytökämppä 1 and 2 are identical. Distance between these 2 cabins is about 1 km (there is some other neighbor cabin more near). Distances: Posio/Pentik 50 km, Korouoma Nature reserve (more information: http://www.outdoors.fi/en/korouoma), Auttiköngäs 20 km, Palotunturi fell 1,5 km. By car you can reach the cottage yard the summer, in winter time car park is about 500 m away from the cabin (notice also spring thaw period).
