Bed Linen 26 € / personLocated 45 km north of Posio, 144 km east of Rovaniemi, 75 km south of Kemijärvi, and 100 km northwest of Kuusamo. Situated on the island of Porosaari in Lake Ala-Suolijärvi (accessible by car).
The lakeshore is sandy/rocky, shallow, and deepens quickly. The shore is approximately 60 meters away. There is a swimming dock. An aluminum boat with an outboard motor is included in the price (guests provide fuel). Boat launch ramp available.
A Kontio log villa built in 2015. The spacious combined kitchen/living room includes a dining and seating area, as well as a sofa bed (bed size 145x198 cm). The loft (steep stairs / height in the center 180 cm) has 2 beds and a TV.
The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic stove, convection oven, extractor fan, refrigerator, small dishwasher, running water (through-flow water heater), coffee maker, kettle, toaster, and a wide range of high-quality dishes and utensils for dining and cooking.
The dressing room features sliding door cabinets. The sauna has a wood-burning stove, and washing water is heated in the stove's water tank.
Well water (drinkable) is piped to the kitchen, sauna, toilet washbasin, and fish cleaning area.
Heating is provided by an air-source heat pump and a convection fireplace.
A separate building houses a spacious eco-toilet and storage.
A hot tub is available by separate agreement and can be rented directly from the owner. Additional charge of 200 euros per week.
The house is decorated personally, flavored with design and art. The living room / kitchen has a large dining table and a modern, well-equipped kitchen where it is nice to cook.
The buildings are placed on the plot respecting the surrounding nature. The atmosphere in Porosaari island is calm. It is easy to breathe in the oxygen-rich pine terrain. Nice terrains for picking blueberries, cloudberries, lingonberries and mushrooms according to the season. The clean-water and fishy Ala-Suolijärvi is one of the largest lakes in the river Kemijoki watershed, area is about 55,9 km².
Terraces (approx. 70 m²) partially covered. Terrace furniture e.g. dining group and charcoal grill (Weber-branded briquette grill).
Guests have access to the following facilities:

- oars or outboard Honda 5 hp (four stroke). The customer brings the fuel.

Hot tub (Kirami-branded) with plastic interior material is easy to care and use. Access to Usage of the hot tub by separate agreement.
Water to the hot tub can be pumped from the by using an electric pump.
Services in the Posio municipality center (eg. Pentik Hill, grocery stores, Alko and pharmacy) 45 km. Timisjärvi artist's residence 29 km. Korouoma gorge valley and trails 50 km, Riisitunturi National Park and Korpihilla visitor site 75 km, Ranua Zoo 132 km. State owned hunting areas nearby. More information: matkailu.posio.fi
No pets. Owner cats have been in the building, so it is not suitable for allergic persons.
Note! The destination is not suitable for children under school age (due to steep stairs, height differences between terraces, and rocky beach) for safety reasons.
It is forbidden to make an open fire!
