Bed Linen 10.49 € / personLog cabin located within an area of four separate cabins next to the Porttikallio cross-country skiing center. A 2.5 km "Mummolatu" trail circles the cabin area and connects to the Porttikallio trail network. The ski center offers snowmaking for the trails when needed, a lit trail, and biathlon shooting targets. There is a grill shelter available for all guests (200 m away) and an observation tower along a guided nature trail with a "fire shelter" 600 m away (firewood available at the cabin).
170 km northwest of Helsinki. Dry land log cabin built in 2011, with a combined kitchen/living room, one bedroom with two beds, a bathroom with a shower and eco toilet, and an infrared sauna (with versatile settings and radio). There is a loft with a sloping ceiling (highest point 155 cm) that includes three mattresses.
A destination for active travelers year-round. A 16 A power socket is available for electric car charging for an additional fee (payable to the owner, e.g., 10 EUR/weekend).
In summer, the trails are used for jogging and cycling. There is a marked 8 km mountain biking route and a 9-basket disc golf course. Kesälaitumen Golf Course (9 holes) is 3 km away.
The original Mauri Kunnas Koiramäki House / local heritage museum is 5.2 km away. There is a good white-water kayaking route to Huittinen (length 28 km, approximately 20 challenging rapids). Särkkä's "Tulisuudelma" summer dance pavilion is 8.5 km away. During summer days, Seppo Räty's World Championship javelin sports field and soccer field are freely available (unless there are competitions) 4 km away. Meeting services available upon request (max 20 people). Tampere Airport is 75 km away.
