Final Cleaning 92 €Pet fee 25 €Cozy holiday cabin in peaceful surroundings by Lake Jyrhämäjärvi, about 22 km southeast of Rovaniemi. The tranquil location invites you to enjoy the silence of nature, with beautiful lake views opening from both the cabin and the lakeside sauna.
The property is situated on a sloping plot — from the cabin down to the sauna and the lake there is a steep slope. The shoreline is muddy at first, then turns into a firm sandy/rocky bottom, gradually deepening. A long pier stretches out into the lake, and the surrounding shore is grassy.
The log cabin (21 m2), originally built in 1965, has been updated over the years. Inside, there is a living room/kitchen and a sleeping alcove with a 140 cm double bed. The living room/kitchen also includes a sofa bed (120 cm wide when opened) for one guest. Drinking water is provided in a 10-liter container on arrival — please bring more if your stay is longer. Note: there is no running water, indoor WC, or shower.
Next to the main cabin, there is a small sleeping cabin (6 m2) available in summer (May–September) with a sofa bed (140 cm wide when opened) as an alternative sleeping place.
The separate, traditional wood-heated lakeside sauna (15 m2) offers a true Finnish experience, with the option to heat washing water as well. In summer, sauna water is carried from the lake; in winter, water is taken from an ice hole with a hand pump and carried in buckets. Next to the sauna, there is a gas grill.
An outdoor toilet is located in a separate building.
This cabin is especially well-suited for couples, small families, and nature lovers seeking peace and quiet.
Pets are allowed except for cats. Bed linens and final cleaning can be ordered for an additional fee. Charging an electric car from a standard power outlet is possible with the guest's own charging device, for an additional fee agreed in advance with the owner (approximately 3-4 EUR per night).
The surrounding area offers excellent berry and mushroom picking opportunities. The cabin provides good chances for observing possible northern lights during the dark season. There is a wooded area between Jatuli and the neighboring cabin, ensuring no direct line of sight.
