Accommodation information

Wilderness cabin in a peaceful location near the Kulhanvuori hill. Kulhanvuori is a peaceful day trip destination with gorge scenery and nature trail. State-owned hunting land (6617 Kukko-Multia) next to the cabin. Saramaja has spacious yard area, dog fence and spacious (56 m²) atmospheric kelo-log built hut (for shared use). 70 km to the northwest from Jyväskylä, wilderness cabin, no own beach. Living room/kitchen, dining group for 10 people, TV. Two bedrooms, one with 3 beds and the other with one bed and sofa bed (140 x 190 cm), indoor WC. Separate sauna building in the yard: sauna room (for 5-7 people, wood-burning sauna stove), shower in the washroom, fireplace room (accessed via terrace). Floor heating, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave oven in the fireplace room. There is also a separate sleeping shed in the yard. The shed can be used as an alternative place to sleep in the summer. However, sleeping places in the outdoor shed has not been taken into account as actual sleeping places. There is a fence for the dog in the yard. It can be used freely. In addition, there is a magnificent electrified and thermally insulated kelo-log built hut (56 m²) with fireplace and table groups in the yard. The hut is for shared use. The owner has given permission for the villagers to use the kelo-log hut, but the hut is very little used. There may be occasional visitors during holiday seasons. There is a hunting club’s building in the yard. The building is used for processing the game meat. However, the building is not used when the cabin is rented.

Flat and spacious plot in the middle of the forest. The nearest neighbor is 900 m away, but the shared hut located in the yard is in little use. The location is good for those looking for peace. Hill Kulhanvuori is located 260.5 m above sea level, the distance as the crow flies is 2 km from the cabin. Next to hill Kulhanvuori is a gorge formed by the ice age. The area has an outdoor trail. Rapids fishing: Within few kilometers in the same village, there is the Kota and Konttijoki rapids fishing area. Riekonkoski rapids and Muittarinkoski rapids in Saarijärvi. Other fishing areas nearby: Palsankoski rapids and other rapid areas in Multia (permitted by local fishery) and Heijostenkoski rapids in Karstula. Distances: Kulhanvuori 2 km (by car to the parking area 13 km), Stone Age village 28 km, Activity Park Veijari 26 km, Pyhä-Häkki National Park 43 km, Ahvenlampi 26 km, Saarijärvi city center 21 km.
