43 km to the northeast from Savonlinna, lake Matkonjärvi 20 m (length 2 km, width 0,3 km) hard, gently deepening sandy bottom, pier, rowing boat. Wooden cabin 1985, renovated 1993, kitchen, living room with sofa bed for two, living room with curtains separated sleeping alcove (two beds), double bed in the bedroom (12 m²), outbuilding (available in winter) with bunk bed and spreadable bed for two, washroom with shower and WC, electric sauna stove in the sauna. Air source heat pump, Wi-Fi. There is a barrel sauna (1970, renovated 2009) with a wood stove by the lake. Water to the sauna must be brought by using a bucket and it can be also used in the winter.

Matkonranta is a cabin with a large grassy yard, suitable even for a bigger group. You can rent SUP boards, bouncy castle, zorb ball, paintball equipment from the owner. Paintball and other program services can also be guided. Owner can arrange guided nature excursions. Please ask directly from the owner. Savonranta 16 km, skiing and recreation centre Lekotti 18 km, Kerimäki 21 km, Kolovesi national park 37 km, Savonlinna 43 km, Punkaharju 45 km, Kitee 64 km, Heinävesi 66 km, Imatra 136 km, Helsinki 376 km.

  Location is really amazing, cottage is large but it would need to be renewed especially regarding furniture, doors and windows, bed linen, towels and kitchen tools. They are generally a bit outdated. Sauna, rowing boat, garden and view of the lake are just perfect. Michela P

  Mukava paikka! Turvallinen piha ja uimaranta lapsille. Rantasaunassa hyvät löylyt. Keittiöstä löytyi kaikki tarvittava. Muutenkin kaikki sujui hyvin.
