Naavanalle is a cozy and well-equipped wilderness cabin, situated in a beautiful spot on the upper reaches of river Kemijoki. It is located far from the hustle and bustle of the city, close to the Kemihaara wilderness area, in the vicinity of the Urho Kekkonen National Park, making it the perfect base for hikers and nature enthusiasts. Accessible by car. Naavanalle also welcomes guests to bring their pets, and there is a dog kennel in the yard for those traveling with their four-legged friends. Located 70 km to the northeast from Savukoski's center, right on the banks of river Kemijoki, with a natural shoreline. Please note that the water is flowing, and the flow rate and water level vary. The shoreline is solid and offers swimming opportunities for those who are skilled swimmers. The cabin features an open kitchen and living area, as well as a covered terrace. In the living area, there is a double bed with a width of 120 cm. In addition, there is a spreadable sofa bed. On the riverbank, there is a separate sauna building with a wood-burning sauna stove in the sauna room. The living area has a spreadable sofa bed and a covered terrace. Water for the sauna is obtained by carrying it from the river, located 50 m away, and there is a water heating pot in the sauna yard. Composting outdoor toilet. Cars cannot reach the cabin directly. Parking is available approximately 50 m from the cabin. The road is plowed up to this point during winter. The cabin's yard is not plowed, and guests are responsible for snow removal on the premises. There is no heating option for cars.
WILDERNESS CABIN: Wilderness cabins are suitable for fishing, hiking, and hunting trips. Their equipment and level of comfort are often more modest compared to holiday cabins. The cabin is not preheated before the customer's arrival. The customer is responsible for cleaning during the stay and upon departure. Due to the long distances, the maintenance staff does not check the cabin after each customer. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the cabin's caretaker immediately by phone. Customers must bring their own bed linen and towels (these cannot be rented). Located between Lattu and Kemihaara on the banks of the river Kemijoki. River Kemijoki is ideally suited for fly fishing. There are trout, grayling, brook trout, and whitefish in the river. The recreational fishing area of the river Nuorttijoki is 30 km away, as are the fishing spots in river Kairijoki. Kairijoen Eräkeskus (Kairijoki Wilderness Center Kairiver) is 35 km away (open in high season, usually June-September). Metsähallitus fishing areas: 3546 Korvatunturi and 3550 Nuorttijoki. Hunting areas: 3607 Sorvorta and 3608 Tulppio. Permits: www.eraluvat.fi. Tulppio has a restaurant with alcohol serving rights, located 32 km away (open during the season). In the Tulppio area, you can see memorials from old timber camps, including Sandberg's locomotive, a pumping station, camp cabins, and more. Urho Kekkonen National Park is 45 km away.
