150 km Northeast of Kemijärvi (58 km from Savukoski), by river Kemijoki (10 m), steep slope down to the river, own rowing boat, hard sandy bottom in the river, water level varies, quiet wilderness location. Electrified wilderness cabin, built in 1988. Combined kitchen-living room with two narrow bench beds (width only 65 cm) and convertible sofabed, alcove "Karhunpesä" ("bear's den") with bunk bed, 4 sleeping bags available, wood heated sauna and water tank, dressing room and covered porch. Additionally 2 mattresses, but cabin can be rented for maximum 4 persons. Composting outdoor toilet. There is also a wood-burning stove and drain in the kitchen. Water pipe from the well by electric pump to the terrace (for summer use), during winter time water has to be fetched from the well (10 m). The TV set seen in pictures can be used only through Chromecast and wifi. There is Chromecast device in the cottage.

WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented). This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Cabin is located by the river Kemijoki between Ruuvaoja and Lattuna. River Kemijoki is ideally suited for fly fishing. There is trout, grayling, brook trout and whitefish in the river. River Nuorttijoki fishing area 27 km, River Kairijoki fishing area 17 km, Kairijoen Eräkeskus (Kairijoki Wilderness Center Kairiver) 22 km (open on high season, usually June-September). Metsähallitus fishing areas: 3546 Korvatunturi and 3550 Nuorttijoki. Hunting areas: 3607 Sorvorta and 3608 Tulppio. Licenses: www.eraluvat.fi Restaurant "Tisko" in Tulppio 28 km (open on high season). In Tulppio area there are memorials about old logging culture (for example Samperi/Sandberg steam engine and logging cabins). Urho Kekkonen National Park 41 km. Well water is safe to drink has been studied in 2017. Please notice that last 400 m requires a car with quite high ground clearance. Otherwise car park is about 400 m distance from the cabin by the main road, like also in snowy time (road isn't plowed).

  Hyvä mökki hienolla paikalla. Talvella pitäisi tie ehdottomasti aurata pihaan saisi auton lämmitykseen kun pakkasta voi olla vaikka 35. En kanna enää juomavettä ja kamppeita isontien varresta.
