Riekkola – your own peaceful retreat, authentic Lapland.

Riekkola is located 110 km north of Rovaniemi and 8 km from the Luosto ski resort, a charming log cabin set in the peaceful Perhe-Luosto area, surrounded by nature. Here you can enjoy the silence of Lapland, the warmth of a wood-heated sauna, a cosy fireplace and the surrounding nature in every season.

The cabin has a comfortable combined kitchen/living room (downstairs, 45 m²), with a heat-retaining fireplace adding to the atmosphere, and a well-equipped kitchen. The wood-heated sauna, bathroom and toilet were renovated in 2021, and the cabin's surfaces were refurbished in 2025 (the cabin was built in 1995). The loft (18 m²) has a 160 cm wide double bed, and the living room has a sofa bed that opens to 140 cm wide. The loft is not tall enough to stand up in. The accommodation capacity is 2+2 people, making it especially suitable for couples or small families.

Dogs are also welcome. The yard has a fenced area for dogs as well as a separate enclosure with two insulated dog kennels. A dog-friendly ski trail, in use during spring, is located about 500 metres away.

Riekkola offers a peaceful base for skiing, hiking, downhill skiing and enjoying the nature of Lapland. In winter, the northern lights and snowy forests, in summer the bright natural light, and in autumn the colourful foliage make each season unique in its own way. Your own peaceful retreat. Pyhä-Luosto National Park begins about 300 metres from the cabin. Luosto's services and ski slopes are about 8 kilometres away. The ski trails at Torvinen hut are about 3 kilometres away, and the snowmobile route and dog-friendly ski trail are 500 metres away.
