Pahtakivi 2 is situated 70 km north of Sodankylä, with the shared shore of the Porttipahta Reservoir just 100 meters away. The lakeshore has a shared campfire site. The nearby shore is gently sloping with a hard gravel/sand bottom and some larger stones in places. Porttipahta is regulated, and the water level varies.
This 69 m² holiday home was built in 1999 and is located 70 km north of Sodankylä. The ground floor features a spacious living room and combined kitchen/living room, where you can enjoy the warmth of the fireplace and baking oven. The bedroom has a 160 cm wide double bed, and there is also a separate toilet, bathroom, and electric sauna on this floor.
The open loft upstairs provides a living area and a large bedroom with two 160 cm wide double beds. Both the living room and the open loft have sofa beds that can be extended to 140 cm wide. The kitchen includes a handy cold cellar with a floor hatch.
The grill shelter in the yard is available for guests to use, shared with the neighboring cabin Pahtakivi 1 (dishes are also available in the grill shelter). It offers an excellent opportunity for remote work; both the holiday home and the grill shelter have fiber-optic Wi-Fi connections.
The neighboring cabin Pahtakivi 1 has a hot tub available year-round, which can be booked from the owner if there are no guests in the neighboring cabin. The price is 150 euros if the guest handles the heating, emptying, and final cleaning themselves. The price is 350 euros including heating, emptying, and final cleaning. Payment is made directly to the owner.
The holiday home offers modern conveniences such as Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, and a Bluetooth speaker. Pets are welcome, and the cabin is comfortably heated with electric heating, an air source heat pump, and a heat-retaining fireplace. Charging for electric cars is not available, but there are heating sockets for two cars.
Distances are convenient: the water is only about 100 meters away, and the nearest shop is 17 km away. The national park is 25 km away, and a snowmobile route is accessible 500 meters away. The ski center and tracks are 58 km away, offering up to 200 km of skiing opportunities.
Please note that burning candles is not allowed in this holiday home, the grill shelter, or the yard area. The shared hot tub in the yard with the neighboring cabin can be reserved for an additional fee from the owner.
This holiday home is ideal for families or groups of friends who want to enjoy the nature and tranquility of Lapland.

For larger groups, an additional cabin, Pahtakivi 1 (No 12990) on the same yard is available for an extra fee, located approximately 20 meters away.

The fish species in Lake Porttipahta include whitefish, perch, pike, trout, burbot, and more, making it suitable for various types of fishing. With a national permit, you can fish with one rod and lure (www.eraluvat.fi). No permits are required for ice fishing or angling. Ask the owner about fishing trip opportunities!
Kiveliön Kala -cafe and minimarket is 3 km away, Vuotso is 17 km away, Tankavaara (Gold Village and UKK National Park Visitor Center) is 25 km, Saariselkä is 50 km, and Sodankylä is 70 km. The nearest restaurant is in Tankavaara, 25 km away.
Fishing harbor 500 m; often possibility to buy fresh fish from fishermen. There is also a pier in fishing harbor. The municipally maintained harbor has a concrete boat ramp and a dock; you can also pick up ice there (the ice room door can be opened by paying via text message).
