70 km north of Sodankylä, Porttipahta reservoir 150 m, boat and motor available for rent. Shore is gently sloping, hard gravel-/sandbottom, also rocks in the bottom. Water level varies due to regulation. Wooden cottage, built in 1989, living room/kitchen with two bunk beds, sauna with wood-burning stove and shower, toilet, open porch. As an alternative sleeping place you can also use low loft with 3 mattresses, vertical ladder to the loft. Hot tub on the porch available, bookings and guidance directly from the owner (free of charge, but requires booking in advance). Campfire site on the shore and smoke oven (please bring smoking chips by yourself) in shared use. Barbecue hut in shared use with another cottage (set of dishes also in barbecue hut). Wireless internet-connection (Wlan/Wifi), Air source haet pump (with cooling function).

Cottage can be booked no later than 14 days before arrival. For bigger groups other cottage in the yard area (20 m away) available for additional fee. Porttipahta reservoir is very suitable for fishing, fish stock e.g. whitefish, perch, pike, trout and burbot. Fishing managemant fee is needed for lure fishing with one rod. Ice fishing and angling are free of charge. Owner rents out at extra cost: boat with 20 hp motor, trolling boat with driver, snowmobile. Vuotso 17 km, Tankavaara, Gold Village and the UKK National Park Visitor Centre 25 km, Saariselkä 50 km, Sodankylä 70 km. The nearest restaurant in Tankavaara 25 km. Fishing harbor 500 m; often possibility to buy fresh fish from fishermen. There is also a pier in fishing harbor.

  This small but very cozy cottage has everything you may ever need. We stayed here with a group of four and had the best time ever seeing the northern lights straight from the hottub.
