Accommodation information
Kuivaniemi log cabin, built in 1940’s and renovated in 1990’s, is located by Lake Laakajärvi. Cabin has spacious kitchen, large living room with 6 beds, two bedrooms each with 2 beds and a lakeside sauna. Iron stove heating, gas lighting, gas refrigerator and gas cooker. Outdoor toilet. On the yard smoke oven, campfire site, boat. Spacious wood-heated sauna in separate building. Water from the lake (must be carried), client brings drinking water. Cabin has two separate entrances.

Cabin is not preheated before customer’s arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesn’t check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the owner immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented). This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If you’re not sure, please consider another option. Cabin is well-suitable for fishermen and hunters. The lake is known for its good fish stock; trout, whitefish, vendace and zander inhabit the lake. State-owned hunting grounds are not far away either. From the local catering company it is possible to order extra services from linen rental to fullboard. Shop in Laakajärvi village 10 km (By boat 3,5 km). Tiilikkajärvi National Park 20 km (www.nationalparks.fi/tiilikkajarvinp). Vuokatti sport- and tourist centre 50 km. Cabin can be reached by car during the summer. In winter about 3,5 km by snowmobile or by skiing from Laakajärvi shop.

Upea paikka! Tuvan puoli ei oikein lämmennyt enää lokakuun säihin, oli oikeastaan lämmin vasta aamulla, joten tämä on ehkä parempi kesäkohde.

Just sellainen mitä haettiin. Hyvät petivaatteet, mökki siisti reilunkokoinen sauna, kuivat puut. Hiiriä ollut sisällä jossain vaiheessa mutta öomamme aikaan ei näkynyt. Mökillä runsaasti led-valoja sisällä.

Mökki vastasi odotuksia ja hieman ylikin. Sauna oli erinomainen! Hieman jäi kaipaamaan esteettömämpää näkymää järvelle ja lauturia josta olisi ollut helpompo pulahtaa järveen.
