At Rauhanmesta cabin, you can enjoy a relaxing holiday and truly disconnect from everyday life. It’s fun to take care of the basics, and while the cabin has no electricity, solar panels provide lighting and allow you to charge your phone. Cooking is easy with the gas stove and grill, and your food stays cold in the gas-powered refrigerator. Before enjoying the sauna, you can get a bit of evening exercise by carrying water from the lake for washing. The owner provides an initial supply of drinking water—two 10-liter containers. Located 39 km west of Savonlinna, Lake Suurjärvi 10 m (width 0.3 km, length 0.9 km), with a hard, sandy bottom that deepens fairly quickly. At the end of the pier, the water is about 1.5 m deep, depending on the water level. A rowing boat and electric outboard motor are available. The log cabin, built in 2006, features a living room/kitchen with gas appliances and solar electricity. There is a dressing room and a sauna with a wood-burning stove and water tank. The loft has two mattresses, and the covered porch comes equipped with a gas grill. There is a separate sleeping cabin, with one room containing a 120 cm bed and another room with a 120 cm bed and mattresses on the loft. Please note that the maximum occupancy of this property is 5. Both the main cabin and the sleeping cabin lofts have steep ladders. There is a permanent outdoor grill with a table group, as well as an outdoor toilet.

Next to the parking area, you’ll find the sleeping cabin, grill area, and outdoor toilet. A path (about 30 meters) leads to the main cabin, descending towards the shore.
