400 km to the north from Rovaniemi, 70 km to the northwest from Inari municipality center, lake Kaktsajärvi 12 m (length 900 m, width 170 cm), deep, partially rocky beach, pier, own rowing boat. Wooden wilderness cabin, built in 1994, extended in 1998 and 2006. Sofa bed in living room/kitchen, dining area, double bed in bedroom (sliding doors) 3 mattresses in the loft, 2 beds in isolated sleeping shed, access to the sleeping shed from outside. Sauna in the same building, access from outside. Sauna is equipped with continual heating sauna stove (brand: Aito), shower cubicle and cooling terrace. Spacious glazed terrace with outdoor kitchen and dining table. Heated dry toilet in connection with the cabin, access from the outside. There is also a traditional outdoor toilet available. Pet fee (in year 2021: 44 e/booking). Notice, that it is not possible to order final cleaning or bed linen to this cottage.

Uuttu is a charming and exceptional wilderness cabin in its own peace by a fishy lake. The external cladding of the cabin is made from old patinated timber and the ceiling is made from timber by traditional way. Massive ridgepoles are used in all spaces. The separate sleeping shed connected to the cabin is an old log-built shed. It is isolated, so there is warm to sleep. Sleeping shed is equipped with electric heating and lightning. There are four Kaktsajärvi lakes in the area. These lakes are part of the river Kaamasjoki river basin and are its headwater regions. Good fish stock in lakes, e.g. trout, ridge, whitefish, etc.Fishing in lakes is permitted with fisheries management fee. One fishing rod can be used. More information see www.eraluvat.fi The 90 km long rod fishing area of the river Kaamasjoki and river Kielajoki begins at the distance of 13 km (destination 1583 Kaamasjoki Kielajoki, www.eraluvat.fi). Other rod fishing destinations, see destination 1574 Utsjoen erämää (www.eraluvat.fi). The salmon fishing spots of the river Tenojoki and river Inarijoki are within 26 km at the closest. Before fishing, check out the fishing rules and regulations of river Tenojoki (see Tenoinfo brochure, published by ELY Centrer of Lapland, www.ely-keskus.fi). Fishing permits available from companies located in the area and from internet, see www.tenonkalaluvat.fi Hunting: Wide small game hunting area 1601 Karigasniemi on state owned at its closest distance of about 1 kilometer (www.eraluvat.fi). The nearest fell is Kaktsavarri is located within visual contact (2,5 km). The starting point of the Kevo natural park hiking trail and the Sulaoja spring 14 km. Shop, fuel sales, and restaurant at the nearest in Karigasniemi, distance 26 km. There is also a border crossing point to Norway in Karigasniemi. Reindeer meat can be purchased from maintainer of the cabin.

  Ihana mökki, hyvin astioita ja muita tarvikkeita, hienolla paikalla, tunnelmaa häiritsi hieman autojen äänet. Lasitettu terassi ja saunan löylyt loistavat! Hyvin mustikkaa tuli syötyä!
