40 km to the southwest from Utsjoki, 60 km to the northeast from Karigasniemi, located in the middle of the awesome landscapes by the river Tana, on the shores of Sparrasuoljavri. Ideal for fishermen, willow grouse hunters, and people loving to spend a holiday in the fell environment. Distance to the lake is 20 m, steep slope to the beach, stairs lead to the shore, quickly deepening hard bottom, own rowing boat on the lake Sparrasuoljavri. The length of the lake is 400 m, distance to the shore of river Tana is 300 m. Planed log cabin, built in 1984. Living room with sofa bed, bedroom with 2 beds, alcove with 2 beds, kitchenette, sauna and covered porch. Summer water supply from the fell stream for dishwashing (sink) and sauna, water tank in connection with the sauna stove for water heating. Electric water heater (Harvia) and sewer in the kitchenette. The cabin has a smart TV. Entrance to the sauna from the porch. Outdoor toilet and woodshed. There is also a charming old outbuilding on the plot.

The water of the water supply is not tested every year, so it is recommended to boil water before drinking it. In early spring and late autumn, the pipe can freeze. Fishing: There's a perch in the lake Sparrasuoljavri. The best fishing spots of the river Tana are easily reachable. For example, the famous Yläköngäs fishing area is within 14 km distance. River Tana has the own specific fishing rules (see Tenoinfo brochure published by the Lapland ELY Centre, www.ely-keskus.fi). Fishing permits for the Tana river can be bought from the Tana fishing permits online store, see www.tenonkalaluvat.fi. You can also buy the permits from the companies located in the area. If you need a boat or a rower, please agree with the maintainer. NOTE! In summer 2023, salmon fishing is prohibited in river Tana. However, permits for catching other fish species (e.g. grayling and sea trout) are available. Hunting: small game hunting area on the state-owned lands begins less than a half kilometer from the cabin (see destination 1602 Paistunturi, www.eraluvat.fi). Shops, restaurant and fuel sales in Karigasniemi 60 km or in Utsjoki 40 km. There are also border crossing points to Norway in these towns. Karigasniemi – Utsjoki, the most beautiful scenic road in Finland, is located at a distance of 50 meters, so the traffic sounds can be heard. The cabin can be accessed by car.

Tämä ei ole luksusluokan mökki, mutta käytännöllinen, maanläheinen ja varsinkin viihtyisä mökki. Patjat sängyissä olivat poikkeuksellisen hyvät, selkävaivaisena tätä arvostaa, oli hyvät unet. Saunassa erinomaiset löylyt.
