Cabin located 42 km South East from town Kemijärvi, in the Suomutunturi Ski Resort, above the Arctic Circle. Detached, ski in-ski out log cabin, log builted extensily renovated in 2024. Compined kitchen-livingroom, two bedrooms: one with a double bed in one and 2 singlebeds in the other. A movable sofa in the livingroom. Sauna (electric stove), shower in the sauna, toilet. Washing machine, dishwasher and drying closet. The cabin also has a wifi connection.

The atmospheric individual log cabin is perfectly located right next to the children's slope, so it is a real ski-in-ski-out facility. Relax on the East terrace around the fire pit in Winter with a hot chocolate and wave at the skiers as they pass by, or marvel at the gorgeous wilderness, wild reindeer and the smell of pine forest in the endless summer sun whilst cooking outdoors. Suomuli is spectacular and rewarding regardless of season, but don’t take our word for it, sample it for yourselves and fall in love with everything Suomutunturi has to offer. The cabin, built in 1983 is by no means basic, the new bespoke kitchen is fully fitted with all the creature comforts of home, integrated dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer with options to control appliances through Bluetooth (for the tec savvy individuals). We also listened to your feedback and added a drying cupboard for rapid drying of wet clothing in the bathroom plus new, luxurious beds and bedding throughout for the most comfortable nights sleep after a day skiing or trekking the many trials on offer. New blackout curtains help ensure a beautiful night’s sleep in this tranquil, haven in the middle of nature. Wifi is available, and we’ve had people book the cabin simply to get away from it all and work remotely in nature. Suomuli is primarily a place to relax, unwind and enjoy a slower pace of life, a place where you can share the spectacular views with family and friends and choose to be as far from the humdrum hustle and bustle of everday life to recharge, reinvigorate and view the world through a simpler lens. This is a labour of love for us but also our family holiday home, we hope you will fall in love with, and enjoy the cabin as much as we do. We welcome your feedback and wish you a magical stay. Kemijärvi has good fishing and swimming opportunities, distance 5 km. The nearest shop is in Joutsijärvi, distance 15 km. Joutsijärvi also has the closest attraction - the Salpalinja bunker. Suomutunturi has 13,500m of slopes consisting of 3 Black, 4 Red, 1 Blue, 2 Green and a nursery slope so there’s something to challenge all abilities! The distance from the cottage to the ski lifts and Hotel Suomutunturi is 150m. Five skiing centers within a radius of less than 100 km. Two national parks within one hour's drive distance: Pyhä-Luosto (80 km) and Salla (60 km). Pets are welcome on holiday. Pet fee 30€.

  Todella viihtyisä ja toimiva mökki. Sijainti oli ainakin ruska-aikaan hyvinkin rauhallinen. Saunassa oli sähkösaunaksi ihanan leppoisat löylyt. Viihdyimme erinomaisesti!

  Rinteen edustalla soiva musiikki soi ympäri vuorokauden mikä hieman häiritsi yöunia. Muuten reissu todella onnistunut ja mökki mukava ja lämmin.

  Hyvä sijainti rinteen vierellä. Tunnelmallinen kämppä ja avotakka kiva. Alkukaudesta varsinkin lumetuksesta kantautuu melkoisesti ääntä ja valoa vuorokauden ympäri, joka nyt varsinkin vuodenvaihteen tienoolla oli häiritsevää.
